He had a student complain to his supervisor that he had sworn in class. However, when the student brought her complaint to his supervisor, the supervisor knew that couldn’t possibly be true because of his knowledge of Bill’s personal brand. This example shows how important it is to have a positive personal brand. Imagine if your boss or your client heard a false rumor about you. What would they think?
