Candidates put a lot of effort into their job interview. From answering all the tough questions, maintaining a positive energy and good eye contact, and building rapport with the interviewer. As the interview winds down, it is important to leave on the same positive note you created during the interview. Motivational speaker and author Rick Deutsch suggests the following tips:
1. Allow the interviewer to take the lead in letting you know the interview is drawing to a close.
3. Give a nice firm handshake with good eye contact, just like when you started the interview.
4. Head to the door with a confident, positive look. While you may feel a sense of relief the interview is over, wait until you get to your car to let out that big sigh!
Leaving the interview properly is critical and can really seal the deal. With these tips, you are sure to leave a great impression.
